Who are you? How old are you?
My name is Yasmine from Zurrieq, Malta and I am 21 years old.
What is your stage name?
My stage name is Yazmin.
How many months/ years have you been Djing / producing?
I started dj’ing around four and a half years ago. After two years, I really wanted to experience something more than that. Therefore, I decided to take a course in music production.
Why do you want to share your music?
Music is a language that everyone speaks however it has a different meaning for each and every individual. I want to share my music so that people who are listening would be able to get into the same world as me, experience my emotions and fall in love with their journey.
Mention an artist that inspired you to become a DJ/producer?
The artist that has influenced me ever since was Paula Temple. I loved her style from the first moment I heard her music and from that day onwards, I fell in love with the world of Techno. I also admire Ansome and Rebekah What they produce is raw and from the heart.
Is there a local artist that you look up to and love to see play at events?
In Malta, there’s a lot of hidden talent, and that’s a fact! There is so much potential but unfortunately, this scene is not prioritized here in Malta. I admire some artists that against all odds, they are making success and fulfilling their dreams like Owen Offset, KONTAL, and Acidulant. These people are a constant reminder for upcoming artists that if you are ready to work hard and believe in yourself, anything is possible.
