Who are you? How old are you?
I am Rebecca a.k.a VRDKT and I am 23 years old.
How many months/ years have you been Djing / producing?
I have been DJing for about 6 years now and experimenting with production for the past 3 years.
Mention an artist that inspired you to become a DJ/producer?
VTSS. Her track selection, flow and vibe that she has whilst she is playing, is something that I really admire.
Is there a local artist that you look up to and love to see play at events?
Definitely would have to say my friends over from Vacuum (AK1D, GRDNT, KAOS, Owen Offset and Parvatis) Aspekt, Manthrax and Scythe.
What skills do you think DJs need to be successful?
Track selection, knowing what the crowd wants and knowing how to build a journey according to the allocated time slot.
How do you stay up to date with the latest music trends?
For the past few years, I’ve listening to a numerous amount of sets especially from Boiler Room and HOR Berlin.
I try to listen to a different set everyday, not just techno, any electronic genre.
This helps me find new tracks, keep an open mind when it comes to mixing and to incorporate different electronic genres with the style that I like to play.
What would you say is the most rewarding part of being a DJ?
