Who are you? How old are you?
Thomas, a.k.a. Natura2K. Just turned 26 yrs. old.
How many months/ years have you been Djing / producing?
Over two years, since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
Mention an artist that inspired you to become a DJ/producer?
SPFDJ. Her music selection, 3-deck mixing, Intrepid Skin label and general love for fun, interesting techno really resonates with me.
Is there a local artist that you look up to and love to see play at events?
I really like Yasmin’s unique style as a DJ. Also really enjoy Parvatis and Scythe who have a similar love for harder higher BPM techno.
What skills do you think DJs need to be successful?
A unique music taste and the ability to turn it into a progression. All other technical things will come with practice over time.
How do you stay up to date with the latest music trends?
I love to attend festivals overseas and listen to podcasts/livestreams, always looking for songs and artists that might not be that well known locally and have something special to offer. Im usually looking for something interesting that will take listeners by surprise.
What would you say is the most rewarding part of being a DJ?
