Who are you? How old are you?

Hi, My name is Beppe Muscat aka MÜS. I’m 18 years old.

How many months/ years have you been Djing / producing?

I started djing at the age of twelve, playing at friends birthday parties and at home in general just to have fun. I kept on mixing just for fun for around 2 years after that, I then dropped the hobby as I felt like I wasn’t learning much. I picked it up again around a year ago, slowly slowly mixing from time to time which escalated into an almost everyday thing. 
 

Mention an artist that inspired you to become a DJ/producer?

I couldn’t really put down a list as honestly it is never ending but I would say within the style of music I play it would be Beau Didier, Kuss, Alberto Tolo and Alarico.

Is there a local artist that you look up to and love to see play at events?

A local artist that I love to see play at events would be Muski.

What skills do you think DJs need to be successful?

Curiosity, experimentation and a good ear. Success is very subjective though

How do you stay up to date with the latest music trends?

Usually scrolling on SoundCloud and following some of my favorite record labels on social media.

What would you say is the most rewarding part of being a DJ?

In my opinion the best part of being a DJ is looking up to the crowd and seeing the place bounce with energy. The power of being in control of so many people at one time and seeing everybody dance in rhythm to whatever you would be playing makes me strive to be a better DJ everyday.
