Who are you? How old are you?

I’m Ramsay Ashibane, I’m 27 years old. Some people might know me from the melodic scene as Ashibane, but I wanted to have an alter ego for my more darker/underground sounds which is called Bane, inspired by the iconic villain from the Dark Knight Trilogy.

How many months/ years have you been Djing / producing?

I’ve been djing for 3 years and I feel now is the time to get into production so I’m looking forward to that.

Mention an artist that inspired you to become a DJ/producer?

Jeremy Olander. A genius in the studio who sets himself apart from any producer in the music scene.

Is there a local artist that you look up to and love to see play at events?

Human Safari. One of my favorite producers and not just locally! His music regularly features in my sets.

What skills do you think DJs need to be successful?

The ability to read a crowd/room. Knowing what to play and when without loosing your identity as an artist.

How do you stay up to date with the latest music trends?

Soundcloud, Bandcamp, Discord, Spotify and listening to live sets be it at a club or at home.

What would you say is the most rewarding part of being a DJ?

Having the opportunity to express myself with music and providing the crowd with music they didn’t know they needed.
