Locals Malta is a collective founded with one shared vision: to support, promote, and connect the local techno scene in Malta. Despite the island's size, Malta is home to a growing number of talented DJs and producers who dedicate countless hours to developing their sound and pushing their craft forward.
Through this movement, we aim to bring together a community that genuinely supports local artists and helps strengthen the underground scene.
Our podcast series began in 2019, alongside the launch of our first events. Since March 2019, we have released over 197 podcasts featuring artists from across the Maltese Islands.
Since 2019, Locals Malta has hosted more than 20 events and provided over 76 performance opportunities for artists on stage at Liquid Club.

Our goal is to create opportunities for local artists to showcase themselves, whether through podcasts or live performances at our events.
Artists have been able to gain exposure, build connections, and collaborate with promoters locally and internationally, opening doors in the early stages of their careers.
Supporting local artists also means supporting the wider ecosystem behind the scene, including venues, promoters, music stores, sound engineers, visual artists, videographers, photographers, and creatives.
This creates a continuous cycle of growth while contributing positively to Malta's cultural identity and nightlife economy.
